Casting for Recovery

Casting for Recovery is a national non-profit support and educational program for women who have or have had breast cancer.

We provide an opportunity for women whose lives have been profoundly affected by the disease to gather in a beautiful, natural setting and learn fly-fishing, "a sport for life." Just as importantly, we offer an opportunity to meet new friends and have fun.

Our weekend retreats incorporate counseling, educational services and the sport of fly-fishing to promote mental and physical healing.

Founded in 1996, Casting for Recovery has been offering free retreats across the country. We rely on local volunteers and organizations to support our community based retreats.

Fly Fishing Benefactors is proud to announce that we will be carrying the Casting for Recovery TFO fly rods and they are in stock now!  And, as an added benefit to Casting for Recovery, Fly Fishing Benefactors will also donate $25 to Casting for Recovery for every TFO Casting for Recovery Fly Rod sold on our website.  Our donation, added to the generous donation by TFO of $25, doubles the donation to Casting for Recovery!

We have added a new CFR Lapel/Hat Pin and will have a special CFR water-tight box soon!  In addition to these new items, we will be stocking Jim Teeny products later this month (in time for Christmas) including;  Teeny Pink fly line, pink backing, and pink CFR rod tubes.  Stay tuned for these new additions!
