Two-piece, integrated fire starting device, consisting of an easy to handle magnesium-steel shaft and a striker key, The two items are tied together by a lanyard so they cannot be separated. Simply hold the FireSteel by the handle over or on top of some tinder, place the key against the shaft and make a quick downward sliding movement with the key on the shaft to create a shower of sparks. Use simple cotton balls saturated with Vaseline as a tinder. The FireSteel works when wet or cold. Buy it separately or within our integrated Fly Fishing "Go Kit." Retails for $8.95 and is good for approximately 1,500 strikes. A "Must-Have" for all fly fishers!
