Fly Rods

Our newest rod, the Jim Hicks Signature Series, is in stock now!  The new rod is a 5-Weight, 4-Piece, 60-Ton Modulus Carbon (IM-12) and sports premium hardware, including snake guides, an aluminum reel seat, and premium lock-up hardware almong with a AAA Portuguese Cork grip.  The new rod comes with a premium aluminum rod tube as well as a second (spare) tip.

All of Fly Fishing Benefactors Fly Rods are made of 45-Ton Modulus Carbon (IM-8) and sport premium hardware, including snake guides and reel seat lock-ups. Our grips are classic AAA Portuguese Cork and all our reel seats are premium wooden (Walnut) seats. Each of our rods comes with a quality rod sock and denier covered fly rod tube. Our rods are covered by a Limited Life-Time Warranty. 

With a heavy heart, we have to announce that Fly Fishing Benefactors will no longer manufacture fly rods.  Our fly rod manufacturing company went bankrupt and the new company insists on Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ) that are too high, in addition to raising the price of our rods by four fold.  It does not make financial sense to build fly rods at a price that exceeds our regular retail sales price.  We have plenty of Shenandoahs, San Juans, Mountain Pack, and Jim Hicks rods available in stock and they should last us well into the 2013 season. We will begin carrying comparable Temple Fork Outfitters (TFO) rods that match our reel selections.  We will also continue to provide warranty services for our rods until we run out of spare parts, at which point we will substitute a comparable TFO rod for a manufacturer's flaw.  We will continue to research our options to continue building fly rods.
