This is an easy way to try out the San Juan Fly Rod from FFB. You place this item in your cart and we'll send you an evaluation San Juan Fly Rod. This is a fly rod that we currently use to demo at fly fishing shows and events. The price is the same as if you were buying the fly rod. You can try the rod out for 14 days and then return it to us. Of course, you'll have to pay to ship the rod back to us but we'll give you a promotional code to get your s/h charges reimbursed should you buy the rod later (limited to the actual shipping costs or a maximum of $15 - whichever is higher).
This will give you an oportunity to see and feel the quality of the rod, check out its performance and make a determination before you buy. Once you send the rod back and we receive and inspect it, we'll post a credit to your credit card in the amount of the rod. You'll have to pay for the s/h charges to you from our web store warehouse (which is fixed at $12).
If you fail to return the rod within the prescibed time limit, we'll keep your charge open and charge a late fee of $25 for every week (or fraction thereof) the rod is late being returned (up to the a limit of the value of the rod). You will also be responsible for any damages to the fly rod while it is in your possession. Just like a rental car, when you get the rod back to us in a condition like it was sent to you, we'll take the shackles off your credit card!
If you purchase the optional (non-refundable) Insurance Policy on the rod, you're safe no matter what happens. If you refuse the insurance opportunity, you will be held responsible for any damages to the rod (other than manufacturing defects). Should you want to buy a new San Juan Fly Rod after you evaluate it, just let us know your intentions and we will provide you with a promotional code you can use at the time of your purchase, that will reimburse you for the s/h charges you incurred to send the rod back to us.
